BSW Clients Lined Up for Big Pegasus Day

BSW clients are represented by six stakes entries across Saturday’s card at Gulfstream Park, including entries in both the Pegasus World Cup and Pegasus World Cup Turf.

 

Jim Bakke’s Mr Freeze will take his shot in the G1 Pegasus World Cup, coming into this race off a 3rd place finish in the G1 Clark at Churchill Downs at the end of November. The chestnut son of of To Honor and Serve finish 2019 with three consecutive big efforts against graded stakes company, including a win in the G3 Ack Ack and a 2nd in the G2 Fayette.

The G3 winning and multiple G2 placed Sacred Life will be making his first start against G1 company when he breaks from post position #11 in the Pegasus World Cup Turf. The five year old son of top French sire Siyouni, who was acquired in the Spring of 2019 in conjunction with Mandore Agency on behalf of owners Michael Dubb, Madaket Stables LLC, Wonder Stables and Bethlehem Stables LLC, comes into the race off a close 2nd place finish in the G2 Seabiscuit at Del Mar at the end of November.

Shekky Shebaz, privately purchased out of a win against $25,000 claimers at Saratoga on behalf owners Michael Dubb, Madaket Stables and Bethlehem Stables, will start the day off in the World of Trouble Turf Sprint, named for the ownership’s former stable star. The G1 Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint 3rd place finisher comes into this race off a starter stake victory where he covered the five furlong distance in 54 1/5 seconds.

La Feve, a stakes winning and graded stakes placed four year old French-bred filly purchased by BSW Bloodstock in conjunction with Mandore Agency on behalf of Madaket Stables, Robert LaPenta, Lindy Farms and Team Hanley will take her chance in the South Beach, where she will be breaking from the rail.

The G3 La Prevoyante marks the return of 2018 G3 Long Island Stakes winner Lady Paname. Purchased from the 2017 Arqana Breeding Stock Sale, trainer Chad Brown and owners Madaket Stables, James Covello, Kent Spellman and Doheny Racing Stable have shown extreme patience with this mare in getting her back to the races. The exciting French-bred mare is two for two in North America and will be looking to add to her resume in her first start in fourteen months.

BSW clients are also represented by A Bit of Both who will be looking for her first graded stakes success in the G2 Inside Information. Owned by Michael Dubb, Madaket Stables LLC, Darsan, Inc., Bethlehem Stables LLC and David Simon, A Bit of Both captured three stakes races in 2019, including victories over the dirt, turf and all-weather.
