BSW Clients sport 2 chances in this year’s running of the $7 million Pegasus World Cup. Private purchases YOSHIDA and CHANNEL MAKER will enter the gate as posts 2 and 3, respectively, on Saturday, January 26th at Gulfstream Park.

YOSHIDA, a private purchase from 2017 for Head of Plains Partners, makes his first start of 2019 after scoring two grade 1 victories in 2018- on both dirt (G1 Woodward (SAR)) and turf (G1 Turf Classic (CD)).  Yoshida earned a career best 106 Beyer for his win on Derby Day in the G1 Turf Classic and posted a 102 Beyer to win the 2018 Woodward.

He will break from the 2-hole for trainer Bill Mott with Jose Ortiz aboard for owners Winstar Farm, China Horse Club, SF Racing and Head of Plains Partners.

CHANNEL MAKER, a private purchase for Adam Wachtel and Gary Barber, draws the 3-hole for trainer Bill Mott with Javier Castellano up.

Privately purchased in September 2016, CHANNEL MAKER captured his first G1 win in the 2018 G1 Joe Hirsch Classic at Belmont Park over a loaded field of top-turf contenders.

The 5-year-old son of English Channel rounded into form for trainer Bill Mott this summer at Saratoga with a win in the G2 Bowling Green (DH) and a second place finish in the G1 Sword Dancer. Channel Maker draws the 3-hole for trainer Bill Mott with Javier Castellano up.
