Uni Looks for Revenge in G1 Fourstardave; Warrior’s Charge Invades Jersey Shore

After finishing 3rd in the G1 Fourstardave at Saratoga last summer, Uni will be looking to avenge her lone loss of 2019 on Saturday in this year’s running of the Spa staple.

The loss didn’t weight heavily on her mind as Uni went onto become 2019’s Champion Female Turf Horse after annexing the G1 Breeders’ Cup Mile for owners Michael Dubb, Head of Plains Partners, Robert LaPenta and Bethlehem Stables.

The chestnut mares comes into the race off a good 3rd place finish in the G1 Just a Game at Belmont and if she comes into this race a bit sharper then her last, Uni will be in with a chance to add another G1 win to her resume.

Stable favorite Warrior’s Charge is off on his travels again, this time catching a cab to the Jersey Shore to contest the G3 Philip Iselin at Monmouth Park for owners Ten Strike Racing and Madaket Stables.

Coming into the race off a very strong 4th place finish in last month’s G1 Met Mile, the graded stakes winning son of Munnings is part of a short field of six in this spot, a race that includes fellow Madaket Stables entry Mind Control.

On Sunday at Saratoga, Secret Message will be contesting the G1 Diana for owners Scott Heider, Madaket Stables, ERJ Racing, Elayne Stables, Bouchey, Rebhan and Carroll after a troubled trip found her finishing 3rd in last week’s Perfect Sting Stakes.

The winner of the G3 Mint Julep at Churchill Downs earlier this year, Secret Message will be going in search of G1 blacktype against five other fillies and mares in the star studded field of six.
