Busy Weekend Ends with Success for BSW Clients

Pegasus weekend came and went, but not without some success for BSW clients.

Mr Freeze ran a big race to finish 2nd in the G1 Pegasus World Cup for management client Jim Bakke, picking up a check of $544,000 and marking himself as one of the country’s top handicap horses in the process.

The BSW managed La Feve also came up big on Saturday, with a career best effort when finishing 3rd after encountering some difficulties in the stretch in the South Beach in her first start against older horses for owners Madaket Stables LLC, Robert LaPenta, Lindy Farms and Team Hanley.

BSW private purchase Shekky Shebaz was beaten a length in the World of Trouble Turf Sprint for owners Michael Dubb, Madaket Stables LLC and Bethlehem Stables LLC after having to steady repeatedly around the turn and in the stretch, ultimately costing him another on the board finish.

At Oaklawn Park’s opening weekend, BSW public auction purchases Wells Bayou and Something Natural finished one-two in a first level allowance race, with the former coming out on top and likely on his way to a Derby prep race for owners Lance and Clint Gasaway.
