Warrior’s Charge Returns with Authority

Ten Strike Racing and Madaket Stables’ Warrior’s Charge, 4th in the G1 Preakness Stakes when last seen, returned to the races on Wednesday for the first time since that gallant effort, with a two length allowance score at Fair Grounds.

The dark bay son of Munnings sped out of the gate and went to the lead as he loves to do, while showing a new dimension by setting softer fractions. At the top of the lane, he changed gears and sped away from recent allowance winner Gun It, to score by a commanding two lengths.

Warrior’s Charge, who was bred by Al Shaqab, passed this test off the bench with flying colors and will now likely be pointed towards graded stakes company at Oaklawn in February.
